Piero is a founding partner and Executive Chairman of Lazuli Partners. He has over 25 years of professional experience in private equity.
Between 2014 and 2023, Piero served as Managing Director and Head of Brazil at Warburg Pincus, leading the firm’s investments in Latin America. From 2006 to 2014, he was a Senior Partner at Gávea Investimentos, where he was responsible for investments across multiple sectors. Prior to that, Piero gained extensive experience at several institutions, including Darby Overseas Investment, Baring Private Equity Partners, AIG Capital Partners, and Bunge, among others. He began his career as a consultant, having worked at Arthur Andersen (now Accenture) and McKinsey. Additionally, Piero served as President of ABVCAP from 2018 to 2023 and is currently the vice president of the organization.
Piero has been a member of the Boards of Directors of various companies, such as RaiaDrogasil, Petz, T4F, Sequoia Logística, Salta Educação, TakeBlip, and Vero. Currently, he is a board member of Grupo GPS, Camil Alimentos, and JiveMauá.
Piero holds a degree in Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo and an MBA from INSEAD.
Carlos is the founding partner and CEO of Lazuli Partners. He has over 18 years of professional experience in private equity and business management. Currently, he also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Blue Health.
Between 2015 and 2022, Carlos was an executive at Grupo Dasa—a leading company in the Brazilian healthcare sector—where he held the positions of CEO and CFO. Prior to that, he was a partner at Gávea Investimentos from 2008 to 2014, responsible for investments in the healthcare segment as well as in other sectors.
Carlos has also served on the Boards of Directors of several companies, such as Grupo Hermes Pardini, DASA, Halex Istar, and Rumo Logística. Early in his career, he worked at KKR, Morgan Stanley, and J.P. Morgan.
Carlos graduated with honors in Mechanical Engineering and Economics from Stanford University.
Bruno is a founding partner and a senior member of the investment team at Lazuli Partners. He has more than 15 years of professional experience in private equity. Currently, he is also a member of the Board of Directors of Farmax.
Between 2009 and 2021, Bruno was a senior partner at Gávea Investimentos, where he was responsible for private equity investments across various sectors. Throughout his career, he has also worked at Merrill Lynch Global Private Equity.
In addition, Bruno has extensive experience as a board advisor for several companies, such as Grupo GPS, Fras-le, Paschoalotto, Rumo Logística, and Méliuz.
Bruno holds a degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas in São Paulo.
Pedro is a partner at Lazuli Partners. He has 8 years of professional experience in financial markets, specifically in the areas of compliance, operations, and internal controls. Pedro is responsible for risk, compliance, and operations at Lazuli.
Between 2011 and 2019, Pedro worked at Gávea Investimentos. He served there as compliance manager and was responsible for the firm`s compliance activities and regulatory controls. In this role, he dealt directly with several regulatory bodies, such as: CVM, ANBIMA, Brazilian Central Bank and the SEC.
Pedro has served as a member of the ANBIMA Compliance Committee.
Pedro has a degree in international Relations from PUC-Rio. He also holds an MBA in Corporate Finance by FGV-Rio and a Masters in Macroeconomics and Finance by PUC-Rio.
Gabriel joined Lazuli Partners in 2023. Previously, he worked in Investment Banking at Seneca Evercore and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He has experience advising M&A and ECM transactions in sectors such as Education, Financial Services, Metallurgy and Technology. Gabriel holds a degree in Business Administration from FGV-EAESP, having also studied at Esade Business School.
Francisco joined Lazuli Partners in 2023 as an intern and currently holds the position of analyst. Previously, he was engaged with the Consultoria Júnior de Economia at FGV-EAESP. Francisco holds a degree in Business Administration from FGV-EAESP.
Rubens joined the Lazuli Partners team in 2024. Previously, he was part of the founding team of Paggo, a B2B SaaS startup for the construction sector, where he worked on structuring the strategy and go-to-market areas. Rubens holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo. During his undergraduate studies, he served as President of Poli Finance, the Financial Markets Undergraduate Club at POLI-USP.
Leonardo joined the Lazuli Partners team in 2025 as an intern. Previously, he worked for two years in Private Equity at Mission Co., including working within the portfolio company Natural One. Leonardo holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo and was a member of Poli Finance, the Financial Markets Undergraduate Club at POLI‑USP.
Mayling joined Lazuli Partners in 2023. She has many years of experience working as an executive assistant in several companies, such as Grupo Odebrecht, Bunge Alimentos and Brinquedos Estrela.
